(Lord #55-02) On this site Jacob Geyer had a hemp and oil mill before 1772. In 1793 John Pfoutz built a 3 story stone mill. John Pfoutz owned the mill until 1806, John Pfoutz, Jr. from 1807 to 1812, Peter Hall, Jr. from 1814 to 1824. Henry Becker purchased the mill in the 1820s and it remained in the Becker family for fifty years. In 1851 Henry Becker advertised the 3 story merchant mill for sale. In about 1870 J. K. Krantz purchased the mill. In 1883 the mill was purchased by Benjamin Florry, who sold it in 1911 to John Herman, who sold it in 1912 to John Zook, and it was purchased in 1917 by I. G. Bushong who closed the mill in 1927.
