(Lord #35-17) Jacob Witmer owned a mill in 1814 & 1815 and in 1815 it was described as being a 1.5 story, chopping mill built of wood. In 1832 Jacob Witmer built the present mill. It was 40×60 feet, 2.5 stories high, and was built of stone and frame. In c1882 Hiram Young acquired the mill, c1902 it was Samuel Young, and in 1915 B. K. Snyder purchased the mill and operated it until 1931.
